Amad Diallo 'will join Manchester United in January'

Atalanta BC attacker Amad Diallo has reportedly received his passport and will officially complete a move to Manchester United in January.

Atalanta BC attacker Amad Diallo will officially complete a move to Manchester United in January, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Red Devils announced in October that they had agreed a deal for the 18-year-old, but the move depended on Diallo receiving a work permit.

The teenager was born in the Ivory Coast before moving to Italy at a young age and passport issues meant that the move could not officially be signed off before the end of the summer transfer window.

However, according to Romano, the right-sided attacker has now received his passport and will fly to Manchester in January to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side for an initial €25m (£22.7m) fee.

"Amad Diallo has finally received his passport, the deadlines have been respected. He will fly to Manchester in January to complete his move to Man United. €25m + €15m add ons to Atalanta," Romano posted on his personal Twitter account.

Solskjaer recently suggested that there will be an opportunity for Diallo, who has made two appearances for Atalanta this season, to immediately become part of the first-team picture at Old Trafford.
