Dani Alves agrees Manchester United switch?

Dani Alves has reportedly reached a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United and will join the club on July 1.

The Barcelona defender is out of contract this summer and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Louis van Gaal has stepped up his interest, reports the Daily Star, after turning attention away from Southampton's Nathaniel Clyne.

Players including Lionel Messi and Neymar have called for Barcelona to extend Alves's contract, but it seems increasingly likely that the 32-year-old will leave.

Alves, who has also been a target for Liverpool, said he will decide his future after the Champions League final against Juventus on Saturday.
