Today's key events
Tottenham 'considering move for ex-Chelsea attacker'
Tottenham Hotspur have supposedly earmarked a former Chelsea winger as a potential signing for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Once heralded as one of the finest talents to emerge from the Cobham academy ranks, Callum Hudson-Odoi failed to live up to his potential at Stamford Bridge, where injuries did not help his cause.
Following a disappointing loan spell with now-German champions Bayer Leverkusen, Hudson-Odoi was sold to Nottingham Forest for just £3m last year, but he has ended up proving a bargain buy.
The England international came up with eight goals from 29 Premier League appearances in the 2023-24 season, including three from his last three appearances to help Forest stay afloat.
"I don't want to leave" - Fernandes wants Man Utd stay on one condition
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reaffirmed his desire to stay at Old Trafford, but only if the club can match his expectations.
At an individual level, the 29-year-old has enjoyed another productive season in a Red Devils jersey with 15 goals and 12 assists from 47 appearances across all competitions.
Collectively, however, Erik ten Hag's men have experienced a dramatic decline from their applaudable 2022-23 campaign, failing to qualify for European football via their Premier League position.
A host of unwanted club records were either matched or broken as the Red Devils laboured to an eighth-placed finish in the top flight, suffering an alarming 14 defeats throughout the top-flight campaign.
Chelsea, Brighton 'among clubs interested in Stoke teenager'
Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly contemplating whether to make an approach for a Stoke City prospect.
The two Premier League clubs are currently without a head coach for next season courtesy of the departures of Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi.
In both instances, the respective managers and clubs mutually agreed to go their separate ways, partly a consequence due to the strategic models that are in place over transfers.
With that in mind, though, it effectively means that the bulk of the work in the transfer market is conducted by members of the hierarchy, rather than taking on advices from whoever is in the lead position in the dugout.
Chelsea youngster 'emerges as target for Eredivisie giants'
Chelsea youngster Omari Hutchinson has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for two clubs in the Eredivisie.
Since leaving Arsenal for Stamford Bridge in July 2022, the playmaker has been restricted to just two substitute outings for the Blues.
Coincidentally, both of those appearances came against Manchester City, the first in an FA Cup tie at the Etihad Stadium and the second in a Premier League encounter at Stamford Bridge towards the end of 2023.
That left Hutchinson just a few months shy of his 20th birthday having never made a senior start, but that has since changed with a loan spell at Ipswich Town.
Conor Gallagher 'edging closer to Chelsea exit'
Chelsea duo Conor Gallagher and Trevoh Chalobah are reportedly closer to being sold during the summer transfer window.
The two academy graduates have just played key roles in helping the Blues secure sixth place in the Premier League standings, a position which they hope will lead to Europa League football.
That qualification is dependent on whether Manchester United overcome Manchester City in the FA Cup final on Saturday and if Chelsea can comply with the Premier League's and UEFA's financial regulations.
In the short term, though, co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are focused on finding a suitable successor for Mauricio Pochettino, who left his role as head coach last week.
Bayern 'plotting double Man City swoop for unsettled stars'
Bayern Munich are reportedly planning to make approaches for two Manchester City players during the summer transfer window.
The Bundesliga giants are currently going through the process of appointing a successor to Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving his role as head coach.
If reports are to be believed, Burnley boss Vincent Kompany will be making the move to the Allianz Arena once a compensation package can be agreed between the two clubs.
With Bayern having only finished in third place in the German top-flight standings during 2023-24, Kompany is expected to have the leeway to make a number of alterations to the first-team squad.
