Malacia missed the entirety of the 2022-23 season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations. The Dutchman made the move to PSV Eindhoven on loan in the latter stages of the 2024-25 January transfer window, but he did not join the Eredivisie team on a permanent basis.
The club attempted to shift the full-back on during the 2025 transfer window, but a failure to find a club means Malacia will leave upon the expiration of his contract in 2026.
There had been talk of a January move to Turkey, but Patrick Dorgu's hamstring issue ended Malacia's hopes of leaving in the winter market.
