Everton have boosted their hopes of achieving Europa League football next season with a 4-0 victory over Manchester United in Sunday's Premier League fixture at Goodison Park.
Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson gave the Toffees a two-goal lead at the break, before Lucas Digne and Theo Walcott completed the rout in the second half.
United barely offered a threat going forward until they were four goals adrift, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now witnessed his team suffer three defeats in their last five league outings.

KICKOFF: Everton get us underway!
Both sides have had a prolonged spell of possession during the early stages, but we are yet to come close to a chance being created.
Everton win a corner on the right-hand side and Sigurdsson's delivery causes problems for the United defence. However, Zouma mistimes his header and De Gea is able to make the easy claim.
The home side win another corner and it is almost identical to the first. On this occasion, Keane failed to meet the ball at the near post and United cleared.
Everton are starting to make all the running in this game. They don't necessarily look like breaking United down, but the visitors just haven't got going.
The Toffees win a set piece in a central position around 40 yards from goal. Sigurdsson attempts to find a teammate with a floated delivery, but United turn the ball behind for a corner.
CHANCE! Nothing comes from the corner, but Everton soon get the ball back into the box. Richarlison gets the better of Fred at the back post and fires a volley towards goal, but De Gea makes a super save to his right.

GOAL! It had been coming. A long throw is flicked on by Calvert-Lewin for Richarlison, who sends a scissor kick into the roof of the net from close range. It was so simple. United look a shadow of the side that they were six weeks ago.
Everton are straight back onto the front foot and win another corner, but United just about clear their lines. Solskjaer must be furious with this start.
Yet another corner for Everton. Is that five or six? I've lost count. United are being terrorised down both flanks. Everton almost get a chance to score from close range, but the ball doesn't fall for Zouma.
CHANCE! Out of absolutely nothing, United almost equalise. A long ball over the top of the defence from Pogba finds Rashford, but the England international sends a volley marginally over the far top corner from 15 yards out.
United have come into the game over the past couple of minutes, although that may be because Everton fancy a breather given the temperature.
YELLOW CARD! The first booking of the match goes to Gueye, who goes in late on Fred. It's a nasty challenge, but a yellow is the right decision.
The pace of the game has definitely slowed down. United are starting to gain control of the play in the middle of the park, but Everton remain a danger when they look to get their flair players involved down the flanks.
Martial cuts inside from the left and attempts to play in Lukaku, but Zouma gets across to deal with the danger. Lukaku has barely had a kick against his former club.
GOAL! EVERTON 2-0 MANCHESTER UNITED (GYLFI SIGURDSSON)
GOAL! Everton double their advantage! Lindelof stands off Sigurdsson and it gives the playmaker a chance to get a shot away from 25 yards. The ball arrows into the bottom corner, but it felt like De Gea should have got much closer to keeping the effort out.
What has gone wrong at United since Solskjaer's appointment? Some of the defending this afternoon has been abysmal. They haven't come close to containing Everton during the opening half-hour.
United are slowly getting themselves back on the ball, but Everton are happy to stand off the visitors. Their play is lacking pace and unpredictability.
There is a very relaxed atmosphere. It's not normally like this when these two teams meet at Goodison Park. Everton are so comfortable. Solskjaer needs to change something, maybe before the break.
United are seeing more of the ball, but Everton are not breaking sweat at the back. Aside from the chance for Rashford, the front three have offered nothing.
The visitors win a free kick on the right, but an inswinging delivery is comfortably cleared by a combination of two Everton players.
Jones gets across well to make a fine challenge to deny Bernard, but it appears to have come at a cost. The centre-back is down receiving treatment after an awkward coming-together with the Brazilian.
SHOT! A mix up between De Gea and Dalot leads to another Everton attack, and Richarlison fancies his chances of beating the goalkeeper from distance. However, the Spaniard makes a relatively comfortable save at his near post.
Fred goes in late on Richarlison, and Everton have a free kick on the corner of the area. United simply cannot afford to concede here.
Sigurdsson's delivery is poor and United are able to make the simple clearance. However, it only gifts the ball back to the home side.
There will be two minutes of added-on time.
This could be a blow for Everton. Richarlison has picked up an injury to his ribs and is receiving treatment. Silva will surely wait until half time to make a decision on his fitness.
HALF TIME: Everton 2-0 Manchester United
The half-time whistle goes at Goodison Park and Everton hold a thoroughly-deserved 2-0 lead over Manchester United. Richarlison and Sigurdsson have got the goals, but this has been an outstanding team performance from the Toffees. United have been desperately poor, and Solskjaer will surely make changes at the break.

United are probably shading possession, but Everton are increasingly determined to win the ball back. There is also plenty of space for Everton to launch counter-attacks down the sides.
GOAL! EVERTON 3-0 MANCHESTER UNITED (LUCAS DIGNE)
GOAL! Game over! De Gea does well to punch a corner to the edge of the area but the ball only finds its way to Digne, who sends a volley through a pack of players and into the bottom corner.
Everton have more goals in them. Calvert-Lewin capitalises on a slip from Smalling to advance into the area, but Young gets back to make a solid challenge.
SAVE! Sigurdsson nearly scores from a corner. The near post is completely unattended and De Gea has to get across to clear the ball off the line with his foot.
The Everton of old would be looking to defend this lead, but they recognise that United are there for the taking this afternoon. There is no threat whatsoever of a comeback.
GOAL! EVERTON 4-0 MANCHESTER UNITED (THEO WALCOTT)
GOAL! This is turning into a mauling. Everton keep the ball in play on the left and it leads to Walcott being played through on goal. The substitute has Calvert-Lewin to his right, but the winger instead slots the ball under De Gea and into the bottom corner.
The home fans were initially stunned by how easy their team have found this match, but now they are expecting more goals. Everton will have taken 10 points from home games with Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and United by the end of this fixture.
YELLOW CARD! McTominay goes into the book for complaining after United are not given a penalty for a foul on Martial. There was nothing in it.
CHANCE! United should pull a goal back when Martial cuts inside onto his right foot inside the area. The Frenchman is no more than eight yards out, but he somehow fires wide.
The visiting supporters are singing a positive song regarding Solskjaer. They are making it known that they are backing their manager when their team are under-performing on the pitch.
The home fans have started to shout 'ole' with every pass. A well-constructed move ends with Walcott being found on the edge of the area, but the winger miscues his volley.
CHANCE! United go back down the other end and Pogba creates a chance for Matic, but the Serbian hooks a low shot well wide of the far post from 15 yards.
SUBSTITUTION! This is a nice moment. McCarthy has not made a Premier League appearance for Everton all season due to the broken leg that he received last season, but on he comes to replace Gueye.
SUBSTITUTION! United also make their final change with Pereira replacing Rashford.
Calvert-Lewin may be the next player to be withdrawn. The youngster appears to have picked up a knock, but he is attempting to continue.
CHANCE! Nearly a fifth for Everton with Coleman getting the chance to advance into the penalty area, but the full-back's shot with his weaker left foot goes straight at De Gea.
It is going to be Digne who will be substituted. The left-back has picked up an injury in a challenge with Pogba. Pickford is also hobbling. Everton could do without this!
SUBSTITUTION! Jagielka is being introduced for Digne. Coleman has gone to left-back.
SHOT! Martial gets a shot away from 25 yards out, but Pickford is equal to the Frenchman's effort down to his right. It is United's first strike on target in this match...
This match is petering out now. It's no surprise given the scoreline and the temperature. United will also have eyes on the derby with Manchester City on Wednesday night. That could be fun.

The Toffees completely outclassed and outfought the visitors, who see their hopes of qualifying for next season's Champions League take a further hit.
