Mainoo, Yoro updates: Man United injury, suspension news vs. West Ham

Manchester United will be aiming to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they head to the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon to tackle West Ham United.

The Red Devils recorded a 2-1 victory over Brentford in the league last weekend, with the result leaving them 12th in the Premier League table, boasting 11 points from their opening eight matches.

Erik ten Hag's side will enter this match off the back of a European fixture, though, drawing 1-1 with Fenerbahce in the league phase of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Man United's injury and suspension news ahead of their contest with West Ham, who are currently down in 15th spot in the division, only picking up eight points from their eight games this term.

Antony

Status: Out Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: Unknown

Man United are facing the prospect of being without Antony for a lengthy period due to the problem which forced the Brazilian off the field in the latter stages of the clash with Fenerbahce.

Leny Yoro

Status: Out Type of injury: Foot Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Arsenal)

Yoro will be out until at least the start of December due to the fractured metatarsal that he suffered during a pre-season clash with Arsenal, with his debut for the club potentially coming against the Gunners in the Premier League. Earlier this week, it was revealed that the defender was back on the grass at Carrington.

Tyrell Malacia

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Malacia missed the entire 2023-24 season due to a serious knee injury which required two separate operations, and the left-back will again be absent this weekend, but he is now back in training and could make his return in the near future.

Luke Shaw

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: Unknown

Shaw has been absent early in the season due to a calf problem, and the left-back is still not ready to feature, but he is expected to be available before the end of the year.

Kobbie Mainoo

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Man United are currently without the services of key midfielder Mainoo due to a muscular problem, and the England international is not expected to be available for selection until next month.

Mason Mount

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: October 27 (vs. West Ham)

Mount has recently been on the sidelines due to a problem which he suffered at the end of September, but Ten Hag said ahead of the Fenerbahce match that the attacker would be back "soon", and he is yet to be ruled out of this game.

Jonny Evans

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Knock Possible return date: October 27 (vs. West Ham)

Evans did not make the trip to Turkey due to a problem which he suffered against Brentford last weekend, but the experienced centre-back is expected to be back in the squad for this match.

Toby Collyer

Status: Major doubt Type of injury: Unspecified Possible return date: October 27 (vs. West Ham)

Collyer is now a member of Man United's first-team squad, but the midfielder has been absent since the middle of September with an unspecified issue, and he remains a major doubt for this match.

Harry Maguire

Status: Out Type of injury: Muscle Possible return date: Unknown

Man United will be without the services of central defender Maguire for the next "few weeks" due to the muscular problem that forced him off the field in the recent game with Aston Villa.

MANCHESTER UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

Man United have no players suspended for the Premier League clash and will be able to welcome captain Bruno Fernandes back into their squad, with the Portugal international missing out against Fenerbahce through suspension.
