Robin van Persie is restored to the Manchester United starting lineup for this evening's Premier League encounter with Southampton at Old Trafford.

Robin van Persie has been restored to the Manchester United starting lineup for this evening's Premier League encounter with Southampton at Old Trafford.

The Dutch striker was an unused substitute during Saturday's FA Cup victory over Fulham.

Nemanja Vidic, Shinji Kagawa and Danny Welbeck have also been given starting berths by manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Saints have made a total of two changes as Danny Fox and Jay Rodriguez come into the side. Guly do Prado and Luke Shaw are the players to make way.
