Team News: Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie lead Manchester United line at Liberty Stadium

Manchester United opt for a forward partnership of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as they prepare to take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has opted for a strike partnership of Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as they travel to face Swansea City in the Premier League this afternoon.

The two frontmen are to be supported by an attacking three of Ander Herrera, Angel di Maria and Marouane Fellaini, with Daley Blind sitting a little deeper in front of a four-man defence.

Meanwhile, hosts Swansea have made two changes to their starting XI, as Gylfi Sigurdsson and Wayne Routledge replace Nathan Dyer and Jefferson Montero.

Garry Monk has decided to stick with lone striker Bafetimbi Gomis, as well as Jack Cork and Jonjo Shelvey following last week's defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

Swansea City: Fabianski; Naughton, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Cork, Shelvey, Ki, Sigurdsson, Routledge, Gomis

Manchester United: De Gea; McNair, Jones, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, Di Maria, Rooney, Van Persie
