David Moyes urges Manchester United to stick with Louis van Gaal

Moyes urges Man Utd to keep Van Gaal

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes has claimed that current boss Louis van Gaal "deserves more time" to turn things around at the club.

United have failed to win any of their last eight games in all competitions, leading to suggestions that Van Gaal could be on the verge of losing his job.

However, Moyes, who himself was sacked by Real Sociedad last month, believes that Van Gaal can turn things around and urged the club's board to stick by the Dutchman.

"I think what Manchester United stand for is that they keep their managers, they've always supported their managers," Moyes told BT Sport.

"I hope they stick with Louis van Gaal, he deserves more time. It's still a work in progress for him, he's made some signings and from my experience in Spain it will take time for players from abroad to settle in.

"So, I think they should stick with it. They don't want to become a club which continuously changes their manager."

Moyes also admitted that he would take the Manchester United job if he were offered it again.
