Sir Alex Ferguson was at Manchester United's training ground on Tuesday amid the speculation surrounding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future, according to a report.

Sir Alex Ferguson was reportedly at Manchester United's training ground on Tuesday amid the speculation surrounding Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future as head coach.

The pressure has been piled on Solskjaer following Sunday's 5-0 defeat at home to Liverpool, but it does appear that the Norwegian will lead the team against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.

According to the Manchester Evening News, legendary manager Ferguson was present at the training complex on Tuesday, while former Man United chairman Martin Edwards was also at Carrington.

Ferguson looked visibly frustrated while in attendance at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Mohamed Salah scoring three times in a thumping victory for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Antonio Conte, who left Inter Milan at the end of last season due to disagreements over the club's finances, is seen as the favourite to replace Solskjaer if there is a change of manager.

Ahead of Saturday's clash with Spurs, the Red Devils are seventh in the Premier League table, eight points behind division leaders Chelsea.
