Manchester United will hope to resume their dominance in the Premier League title race by clinching a victory over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Manchester United will hope to overcome midweek's blip by securing three points against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed today that Paul Scholes will return to the side after the midfielder was left out of the Red Devils squad that lost 1-0 to Wigan Athletic on Wednesday.

Phil Jones could make way for Rafael Da Silva at right-back, with Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney expected to lead the line at Old Trafford this weekend.

Meanwhile, Alex McLeish has a number of injury woes to deal with, but Charles N'Zogbia could be handed a start after coming off the bench during Villa's 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Monday.

Nathan Baker and James Collins are likely to line up at the back with Gabriel Agbonlahor starting up front for the West Midlands side.

Current form:

Manchester United: LWWWWL
Aston Villa: DWLLDD

Possible lineups:

Manchester United: De Gea; Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra; Young, Carrick, Scholes, Valencia; Welbeck, Rooney

Aston Villa: Given; Lichaj, Baker, Collins, Hutton; Bannan, Herd, Ireland, N'Zogbia; Weimann, Agbonlahor

Sports Mole says: 3-0
