Manchester United will be aiming to win the 2025 Premier League Summer Series with a 100% record when they round off their tournament with a clash against Everton in Atlanta, Georgia on Sunday.
The Red Devils are top of the four-team group, having picked up six points from two matches, while Everton are bottom, with the Toffees losing their opening two games in the tournament to Bournemouth and West Ham United.
Match preview
Man United's first friendly of the summer was an uneventful goalless draw with Leeds United in Sweden, but the Red Devils have stepped it up since arriving in the United States, beating West Ham United 2-1 in their tournament opener, before thumping Bournemouth 4-1 last time out to move onto six points from two games.
The 20-time English champions are top of the section, three points ahead of second-placed Bournemouth, meaning that a draw or a win here would secure first, but a defeat is also likely to be enough unless it is an incredibly heavy one, with Ruben Amorim's side having a far superior goal difference to Bournemouth and West Ham.
There have been a lot of positive signs for Man United this summer, and they now only have two friendlies ahead of the new season, following this game with a clash against Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9.
The 20-time English champions will then begin their 2025-26 Premier League campaign against Arsenal on August 17, and there is pressure on Amorim to oversee a huge improvement this term following a disastrous 2024-25.
Man United continue to work on new signings, with RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko their leading target in the final third of the field, and a bid for the 22-year-old could be submitted in the not too distant future.
As for Everton, the Toffees started their preparations for the new campaign with a 1-1 draw against Accrington Stanley on July 15, before suffering a 1-0 defeat to Blackburn Rovers four days later.
The Merseyside team have also lost twice in the Premier League Summer Series, going down 3-0 to Bournemouth in their opener before suffering a 2-1 reverse to West Ham last time out.
Not too much can be read into pre-season results, but there is no question that a fourth straight loss on Sunday evening would be a major blow for Everton, especially with just one more friendly to come - against Roma on August 9.
Everton will open their 2025-26 Premier League season away to Leeds United on August 18, and they will also tackle Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers before the end of the month.
The Toffees have made four signings this summer, bringing in Thierno Barry, Carlos Alcaraz, Adam Aznou and Mark Travers, and they are currently working on a deal for Southampton's Tyler Dibling, although it is alleged that an opening offer of £27m for the highly-rated attacker has been turned down by the Saints.

Team News
Bryan Mbeumo is in line to make his debut for Man United here, with Amorim not selecting the attacker against West Ham or Bournemouth due to the fact that he only completed a move to Old Trafford on July 21.
Matheus Cunha was rested against Bournemouth but is due to return to the side here; Mbeumo's debut is expected to come off the bench, so it could be Cunha and Amad Diallo in support of Rasmus Hojlund, who has revealed that he wants to stay at Old Trafford amid the speculation surrounding his future.
Joshua Zirkzee could be involved for the first time this summer, as his recent injury is only minor, but Lisandro Martinez and Andre Onana remain unavailable for selection.
Harry Maguire's withdrawal against Bournemouth was precautionary, so the experienced centre-back is fit, while there are expected to be recalls for Altay Bayindir, Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte here.
As for Everton, Jarrad Branthwaite is their major absentee, with the centre-back missing the tour due to injury.
Head coach Moyes will make changes to the side that started against West Ham, with new signing Barry expected to lead the line, having been used off the bench last time out.
James Garner and Michael Keane are also expected to take to the field against their former employers, while Jordan Pickford, James Tarkowski and Idrissa Gueye are also set to be notable starters for the Merseyside team on Sunday.
Man United possible starting lineup:
Bayindir; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Dalot, Fernandes, Ugarte, Dorgu; Amad, Hojlund, Cunha
Everton possible starting lineup:
Pickford; Patterson, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; Ndiaye, Iroegbunam, Alcaraz; Barry
We say: Manchester United 3-1 Everton
Man United were excellent against Bournemouth, with the Red Devils showing a lot of positive signs, and we are expecting them to put another three points on the board here against an Everton side that are yet to fire in pre-season.
