Thursday's Premier League predictions including Man United vs. Southampton

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Manchester United vs. Southampton.

Ipswich Town and Brighton & Hove Albion will meet at Portman Road in the top flight for the first time in four decades when they lock horns on Thursday night.

The two clubs drew 0-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season, but they have not clashed at this venue in the top flight since a 2-0 win for Ipswich in January 1983.

We say: Ipswich Town 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion

The Premier League's draw specialists could serve up another here with Brighton set to be tested by a fearless Ipswich team who gave Chelsea and Fulham some big surprises recently.

Brighton's form has not been awful by any means, with the cup win coming after two impressive draws, but Hurzeler's men are winless in eight league games, and this could be an awkward fixture for them, after also being held in the reverse.

Man Utd vs. Southampton (Thursday, 8.00pm)

Seeking to build on their positive FA Cup results last weekend, struggling Premier League duo Manchester United and Southampton square off at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

The two teams meet for the first time since September last year when the Red Devils secured a 3-0 victory over the Saints at St Mary's.

We say: Manchester United 3-1 Southampton

A total of 72 goals have been conceded by these two Premier League teams this season. While Man United have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven top-flight matches, Southampton have conceded in 18 of their 20 league fixtures this term.

Goalmouth action at both ends is therefore expected on Thursday, but we feel that the Red Devils will find a way to get the better of the Saints and outscore their opponents, claiming three valuable PL points at Old Trafford for the first time since December 1.
