Sunday's Premier League predictions including Newcastle vs. Man United

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Newcastle vs. Man United.

West Ham vs. Southampton (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Two sides entrenched in the Premier League relegation zone face off in a pivotal six-pointer at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon as West Ham United host Southampton.

The Hammers sit two places and one point better off than their cellar-dwelling visitors, and victory for either side could lift them above the dreaded dotted line.

We say: West Ham United 1-0 Southampton

Facing a West Ham side with a resilient streak to protect at home will be a different kettle of fish to tackling a disjointed Tottenham side for Southampton, whose injury concerns in both thirds of the field could prove fatal.

Selles's side have held their own against the big boys in recent weeks, but their ongoing lack of goals on rival turf could tip the scales in the Hammers' favour, as Moyes's side significantly boost their survival prospects at the expense of Southampton's.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Newcastle vs. Man Utd (Sunday, 4.30pm)

In a repeat of February's EFL Cup final, top-four rivals Newcastle United and Manchester United renew hostilities at St James' Park in Sunday afternoon's Premier League showdown.

Only two places and three points separate the two behemoths in the standings at present, as the Red Devils sit pretty in third while the Magpies knock on the door in fifth.

We say: Newcastle United 1-1 Manchester United

Man United may have put Newcastle to the sword at Wembley with ease, but the absence of Casemiro and a distinct lack of midfield depth should mean that lightning does not strike twice for Howe's Champions League-chasers.

With the Magpies seldom suffering defeat in front of their own fans nowadays, a closely-fought draw could be on the cards - a result which neither manager will be overly satisfied with.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
