Arsene Wenger: 'David Moyes can succeed at Old Trafford'

Arsene Wenger is confident that David Moyes will achieve success at Manchester United if he is given time.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that David Moyes can achieve success with Manchester United if he is given time by the club's hierarchy.

Moyes has received plenty of criticism since replacing Sir Alex Ferguson last summer, but Wenger believes that the former Everton boss is still the right man for the job ahead of the meeting between the Gunners and United on Wednesday.

"When a person has been at a club for such a long time, it's always a void created when he goes," Wenger told reporters.

"But I believe Moyes, if given time, will do that perfectly."

United are currently seventh in the Premier League.
