Patrick Vieira gives an injury update on Sergio Aguero.

Patrick Vieira believes that Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero will be fit to face Real Madrid in the Champions League next week.

Aguero has been out of action for a month since injury suffering a knee injury in the 3-2 win over Southampton on the opening weekend on the new Premier League season.

Initial thoughts were that Aguero would be out for around six week but Vieira believes that the Argentina international will be back in time for the glamour clash with Madrid.

"It's always difficult to say with these injuries, but I think he will be ready," Vieira told Sky Sports News.

"Sergio is coming through this injury. He trained on his own yesterday and he looked really good, hopefully he will be ready soon."

Vieira works for City as their football development executive.
