Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has admitted that he is unsure what system suits his side.
The Red Devils began the season playing in a 3-5-2 formation, but after defensive struggles and injuries, the 63-year-old shifted to 4-4-2.
Van Gaal changed his system again in his side's 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace, and he has conceded that he is still working out which formation his team are best suited to play.
When asked about the latest change in formation, Van Gaal told reporters: "It's too much, I agree.
"But I'm looking for the balance and, when you see the last four matches, we have had more balance because we haven't conceded many goals.
"Nevertheless, we don't score so much. With the other system we scored a lot of goals."
United are seventh in the Premier League following their win over Palace.
