Louis van Gaal: 'Falcao will improve after international break'

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal backs Radamel Falcao to add to his goal tally after the international break.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has backed Radamel Falcao to improve after the international break.

The Colombian international struck the winning goal as the Red Devils beat Everton 2-1 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The effort was the on-loan striker's first for United, and the Dutch coach thinks that the forward will add to his tally when domestic action resumes later this month.

He told reporters: "Falcao was forcing himself last week against West Ham. I told him to be satisfied about his performances and that the goals are coming. The goals are coming.

"He will be even better after the international break."

United travel to West Bromwich Albion next on October 20.
