Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer refused to answer his side's title hopes following a 2-1 win over West Ham and instead joked about the rumours that claimed he was about to be sacked.
Previously, Solskjaer was heavily criticised for United's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swiss side Young Boys in Bern, thanks to Jesse Lingard's faulty back pass.
United, however, made up for the loss with a 2-1 win over Tottenham at the London Stadium on Sunday, where Lingard scored a late winner.
"You're not gonna get me on that one now," Solskjaer said. "It's five games into the season. I was probably down and out and lost my job yesterday. That's the way it is at Man United.
"We deserved three points [against West Ham]. It's a hard place to come, here. Hopefully, these points can make a difference. Let's see [about the title] when we get towards April and May."
Despite the win, United had gone a goal behind thanks to Said Benrahma's opener in the 30th minute before Cristiano Ronaldo scored a leveller, and the Norwegian was not very happy about it.
"We have to defend better," Solskjaer said. "We have to make it harder to break us down. For their goal, the structure was wrong for whatever reason and we'll have to work on it."
United will now prepare to host West Ham at Old Trafford on Wednesday, September 22.
