Chris Smalling has claimed that Manchester United are focused on completing a European and League double this season.
Despite reports that United may not take the Europa League seriously alongside the Premier League, Smalling insists that the competition is important to the squad.
The 22-year-old said: "You only need to look at the teams who are still in the Europa League to realise it's a competition worth winning.
"I mean, eight of the teams were competing in the Champions League earlier this season and a lot of the others have done so previously.
"We want to reach the final, although we know it won't be easy. All of the players will be going out on the pitch and giving our all to reach the final."
United currently lead Ajax 2-0 in the Europa League after the first leg of their last-32 tie.
