Robin van Persie hails Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has said that he is proud to have worked with Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

The 29-year-old Netherlands international joined United from the Gunners in the summer on a four-year contract.

"I have had special coaches all in their own way," Van Persie told OnsOranje.

"[Bert] van Marwijk, Wenger, [Marco] van Basten, Ferguson. Piece by piece they are special.

"I think I have been [one of] the only players ever who has worked under Wenger and Ferguson. That's special."

Defender Mikael Silvestre is the other footballer to have played under both Wenger and Ferguson.
