Cristiano Ronaldo gave a female steward his shirt after his miscalculated long-range shot knocked her out during a warm-up session ahead of Manchester United's 2-1 defeat against Swiss side Young Boys on Tuesday night.
The all-time Champions League top scorer rushed to check if she was okay after she fell to the ground. He also spent some time explaining himself to nearby fans who were recording.
Ronaldo then ran back to the field to continue warming up once he was sure that the steward was fine.
The incident did not degrade Ronaldo's performance as he needed only 13 minutes to score after receiving the ball from Bruno Fernandes.
However, Young Boys were allowed to equalise after Aaron Wan-Bissaka was sent off for a rash tackle on Christopher Martins.
Young Boys then netted another after Theoson Siebatcheu intercepted Jesse Lingard's back pass, allowing them to snatch victory.
Despite the loss, Ronaldo did not forget the injured steward as he gave her a CR7 shirt as a token of apology for the pre-kick off incident.
