Manchester United's Sergio Romero: 'I'm not thinking about my future'

Romero: 'I'm not thinking about future'

Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has claimed that he is not thinking about his future as he continues to play second fiddle to David de Gea.

The 28-year-old started the first six games of the season as De Gea came close to joining Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, but the Spanish shot-stopper eventually signed a new contract at Old Trafford.

Romero has made just one start since the end of August, but the Argentine has insisted that he is happy with the Premier League champions.

"I am not really thinking [about the future], at least not in this moment," Romero told ESPN. "There is a lot of time to see what happens.

"I don't think too much in the future I prefer to live what is going on every day. In football you never know what could happen. Today you play, tomorrow you don't.

"I am happy at Manchester United. I am at one of the most important English teams and one of the most important teams in the world."

Romero joined the Red Devils in the summer.
