Report: Louis van Gaal to keep Ryan Giggs

Louis van Gaal is poised to offer Ryan Giggs a position on his coaching staff if he becomes the new Man United boss, according to a report.

Louis van Gaal will reportedly offer Ryan Giggs a position on his coaching staff in the event that he becomes the new Manchester United manager.

The Red Devils are thought to have already sealed a deal with the Netherlands boss which will see the veteran coach take the reins at Old Trafford after the World Cup - a report which the club have denied.

Giggs, who replaced David Moyes on an interim basis last week, enjoyed a fine start to his caretaker role by securing a 4-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday.

However, according to The Mirror, Van Gaal will retain the services of the Welshman once he takes charge of the Premier League giants in the summer.

Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata bagged two goals each in Giggs's first game at the helm, and the 40-year-old will preside over the club's final three league games of the campaign.
