Real Madrid could reportedly rival Manchester United for the signature of Mauricio Pochettino this summer.
Carlo Ancelotti acrimoniously departed Everton to rejoin Los Blancos for the 2021-22 season, and his side have opened up a six-point gap above Sevilla at the top of the La Liga table.
However, Real suffered a 1-0 defeat in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash with Pochettino's Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, and there is uncertainty over Ancelotti's long-term Santiago Bernabeu future.
According to the Daily Mail, the La Liga giants will make another push for Man United-linked Pochettino should he call time on his Parc des Princes stint at the end of the season.
The 49-year-old is also riding off into the sunset domestically as PSG sit 13 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table, although they did go down 3-1 to Nantes over the weekend.
Pochettino is being tipped to leave PSG amid links with the Man United job, and the report adds that the potential capture of Kylian Mbappe could aid Real's attempts to bring the former Tottenham Hotspur boss to the club.
Pochettino has won 48 of his 70 games in charge of PSG since succeeding Thomas Tuchel and is under contract in the French capital until 2023.
