Newcastle boss Alan Pardew challenges his side to upset the odds when they travel to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has challenged his side to start another unbeaten run when they travel to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.

The Magpies suffered their first league defeat of the campaign against Manchester City last weekend, but Pardew is keen to begin another unbeaten period this weekend.

"For us, it's about getting back on the unbeaten run and looking for the result we need to do that," Pardew told the Shields Gazette.

"We have to make them work hard for anything they get. It's a difficult-looking game, but so was Man City, and we created chances there."

Newcastle currently sit fourth in the Premier League, just four points behind their opponents.
