Jose Mourinho: 'Manchester United can win Premier League title'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes that Manchester United can still win this season's Premier League title.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that Manchester United are still capable of winning the Premier League title this season.

David Moyes's side, who won the title last term, currently sit 12 points behind leaders Arsenal after Wednesday night's defeat by Everton.

However, Mourinho believes that United have a winning mentality that will stand them in good stead.

"If it was another club I'd tell you it's impossible, but with Manchester United I don't say that," Mourinho told Sky Sports News.

"The reasons are because of the potential of the team, what the club represents and the culture of the club. It's not a club in panic. It's not a club where you feel the end of the world is arriving.

"They are calm, they go the same way and support the manager. Nobody touches the manager. They have a project. If they don't win this season they believe they will win next season."

The Red Devils host Newcastle United on Saturday.
