Paddy McNair hopes for more game time at Manchester United

Paddy McNair is hopeful that he will get more first-team opportunities under Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Manchester United defender Paddy McNair is hopeful that he will get more games under his belt by impressing manager Louis van Gaal in training.

The 19-year-old has not featured for the Red Devils since their 2-1 defeat to Swansea City on February 21.

"Every day I'm coming in and trying to impress the manager and all his staff," McNair told MUTV.

"Hopefully I can get as many games as I can towards the end of the season. I'm training with world-class players every day - that's only going to make me better."

McNair made his Northern Ireland debut last week in their 1-0 win over Scotland in a friendly at Hampden Park.
