Juan Mata: 'Manchester United must be ready for tough October'

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata says that his club will need to be prepared for a difficult period of fixtures following the conclusion of the international break.

Manchester United playmaker Juan Mata has insisted that his club must get themselves prepared for a difficult period after the conclusion of the international break.

Mata has been a prominent fixture in Louis van Gaal's United side and the 27-year-old believes that his teammates will need to get ready for some difficult matches both in the Premier League and the Champions League.

"Once I'm back in Manchester we will have to get ready for a few games that are going to be tough and thrilling," Mata wrote on his blog.

"First against Everton, always an intense and complicated match, and next week against CSKA Moscow and Manchester City. October is meant to be a very difficult month and we must be ready for it."

United currently occupy third place in the Premier League table after eight games this season.
