Everton's Roberto Martinez 'impressed' by Manchester United's turnaround

Everton manager Roberto Martinez admits that he is 'impressed' by Louis van Gaal's ability to turn Manchester United's season around.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has admitted that he has been 'impressed' with how Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has turned the club's season around.

The Red Devils faced heavy criticism in the early stages of the season, with some suggesting that they will struggle to make the top four in the Premier League as results were not going their way.

However, as they approach the final five games of the campaign, United now find themselves third in the table and have lost just twice in 12 league games.

This Sunday, Everton, who lost to United at Old Trafford in October, will welcome their North-West opponents to Goodison Park.

"We are facing a side in the best moment of their season and their turn around in recent months has been very impressive," Martinez told reporters in this morning's press conference. "Louis Van Gaal's record speaks for itself and we know the way he gets his side to dominate the game with possession."

The Toffees are currently 12th in the table.
