Manchester United are tripling the security presence at their training ground in Carrington after protestors were able to breach security and enter the ground last week.

Manchester United have trebled the security protection at their Carrington training ground, after protestors trespassed last week.

On Thursday fans managed to pass through security at the training ground, where they demonstrated their anger at the Glazers' ownership of the club.

The protests come after Man United were part of the European Super League plans, in which the Red Devils followed the other five English clubs and withdrew from the plans 48 hours after they were announced.

The Daily Mail reports that the security company Man United use at Carrington, Controlled Solutions Group, have tripled the amount of guards on patrol at the training ground, and have also offered protection to senior figures at the club.

It is reported that the players and staff were shocked that protestors easily found their way into the training ground, and that they managed to get to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to confront him.

Man United fans also demonstrated outside Old Trafford expressing their desire for the Glazers to leave the club and flew a plane over Elland Road during their game with Leeds United.
