Louis van Gaal: 'I don't doubt myself'

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says that he does not have any doubts about his position at Old Trafford, despite the club's recent results.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that he accepts that it is not always possible to achieve success in sport.

Van Gaal has been criticised for United's results and performances of late, while the Old Trafford outfit also bowed out of the Champions League on Tuesday night after losing to Wolfsburg.

However, the former Netherlands coach has insisted that United's recent results have not created any doubts in himself as he continues to work "very hard" to meet expectations in the North-West.

The Dutchman told reporters: "No doubts. I don't have any. You can lose and win in sport, you have to accept it.

"I am working very hard to do what we can do. The problem is that we have to meet with the expectation. At a club like Man Utd they are very high."

United face Bournemouth on Saturday night looking to move level on points with current Premier League leaders Leicester City.
