Victor Lindelof: 'I am improving at Manchester United'

Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof vows to continue working hard in a bid to secure a regular position for the Red Devils.

Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof has vowed to continue working hard in a bid to secure a regular position in Jose Mourinho's first XI.

United paid Benfica more than £30m to sign Lindelof last summer, and the Sweden international struggled to make his mark in the early months of the 2017-18 campaign.

Lindelof has started United's last three matches at the heart of the defence, however, and the 23-year-old is confident that he will continue to improve in the coming weeks.

"I'm always happy to help the team," Lindelof told MUTV. "As a player, you always want to play games and that's what I've been doing over the last few games and I'm very happy that I can help the team on the pitch.

"Every day I work out and I work hard to try to help the team. I'm always trying to be myself on the pitch and trying to do what I think I can do well.

"Of course, I think I've become a better player since I came here. I'm basically still the same type of player as I was when I came here, so I'm just trying to improve on those things that I'm already good at. I think I develop every day."

Lindelof has made 23 appearances in all competitions for United this season.
