Kagawa focused on Japan

Shinji Kagawa has said that he is fully focused on Japan's upcoming World Cup qualifiers after Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund came to an agreement over a transfer for the midfielder.

The deal is thought to be worth an initial £12m and could rise to £17m with add-ons.

Speaking after training with Japan on Tuesday, Kagawa told Kyodo News: "The transfer is not complete for the time being. I have yet to sign the contract.

"The team and I are fully focused on the next two games.

"It's better if we talk about [the transfer] after those matches. I want to focus on playing well over the next few weeks."

Japan take on Jordan in Saitama this Friday before travelling to Brisbane for a rematch of last year's Asian Cup final with Australia in a week's time.
