Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard hails his team's "dominant" performance in Saturday's 2-0 win at West Bromwich Albion.

Manchester United attacker Jesse Lingard has said that his team "dominated" Saturday's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion, which ended in a 2-0 victory for Jose Mourinho's side.

Lingard set up Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the opening goal of the match in the fifth minute, before the experienced striker scored his second in the 56th minute to wrap up all the points.

The England international has paid tribute to Ibrahimovic for his influence at Man United this season, with Lingard revealing that the experienced striker is 'helping the younger lads' in the team.

"We dominated the game and got the early goal which killed them. We needed a quick start and the manager told us to look for the balls in behind. I did that and Zlatan Ibrahimovic put it away," Lingard told reporters.

"He is a great character, very bubbly around the changing room and helps the young lads. His confidence is flowing now and the games are coming think and fast to add to his tally. We are all finding our rhythm now, everyone is gelling together."

Man United remain in sixth position in the Premier League table, but they are now just four points off second-placed Liverpool, who travel to Everton for the Merseyside derby on Monday night.
