Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that joining Manchester United was the obvious choice to make, as he prepares to make his first appearance in the Premier League.
The 34-year-old, who made a move to Old Trafford as a free agent after running down his Paris Saint-Germain contract, is expected to lead the line for the Red Devils at Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
Ibrahimovic had a number of offers on the table when choosing a new destination during the off-season, including from the MLS and Far East, but claims that when United came calling he simply could not say no.
"It was the moment to come to England, and who would not come to Manchester United? I don't believe there is anybody who could say no to a club like Manchester United," he told Sky Sports News.
"I will never turn down a challenge, so when this challenge was presented to me I would never turn it down. I am not like many others who have it good and know they can perform at the top and would never change. I am the opposite, I will take the challenge, work hard, I will sacrifice.
"We will see what the outcome is, but turning down a challenge does not exist in my world. I have been in every country, now England, and that is why I find the adventure cool. I came, I won, I went, hopefully I can do the same here."
Ibrahimovic got off the mark for United in last weekend's Community Shield meeting against Leicester City, scoring the winning goal seven minutes from time at Wembley Stadium.
