Javier Hernandez urges new signings to "spend time" with teammates

Hernandez: 'New boys need to fit in'

Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez believes that the club's new signings Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell need to integrate into the team "as soon as possible".

The pair are the first summer signings to enter Old Trafford and while Hernandez appreciates that the duo invite competition for places, the Mexico frontman has insisted that they "spend time" with their teammates.

"The most important thing for the new players is to get to know the other United lads as soon as they can and to spend time with them," said Hernandez.

"It'll be good for them to train with us and also get to know everything about all the parts of the club. They are both really good lads, they work hard and are very professional."

The 24-year-old netted 12 goals for the Red Devils last season after struggling to hold down a regular spot in Sir Alex Ferguson's starting XI.
