Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is expected to be charged by the Football Association after punching Manchester United defender Phil Jones.

Hull City striker Abel Hernandez is expected to be charged by the Football Association after a confrontation with Manchester United defender Phil Jones.

During the second half of the 0-0 draw at the KC Stadium, Hernandez punched Jones in the stomach as both players tussled before a corner was swung into the box.

The incident was missed by referee Lee Probert, meaning that the FA can charge the 24-year-old with violent conduct.

The stalemate resulted in the Tigers being relegated from the Premier League.
