Sir Alex Ferguson maintains faith in David Moyes

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that David Moyes will eventually come good as Manchester United manager.

Sir Alex Ferguson has backed David Moyes to achieve success at Manchester United in due time.

Moyes replaced fellow Scot as the Red Devils manager last summer, but has struggled in his first campaign at Old Trafford.

United are currently seventh in the Premier League and are in danger of failing to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League after losing the first leg of their last-16 tie 2-0 to Olympiacos away from home last month.

"They (United) will be all right," The Mirror quotes Ferguson as saying.

"It's early days and there have been a lot of changes. He (Moyes) needs time.

"I was there for 27 years, so with a new manager, it takes time. But they'll be okay."

Ferguson won the Premier League title 13 times and the Champions League twice during his tenure at United.
