Marouane Fellaini and Robin van Persie return to training

Manchester United duo Maraoune Fellaini and Robin van Persie reportedly return to training after overcoming respective wrist and thigh injuries.

Manchester United duo Maraoune Fellaini and Robin van Persie have reportedly returned to training.

The Dutch striker has been out of action since injuring his thigh taking a corner in the 1-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk on December 10.

Fellaini underwent surgery on a wrist injury before Christmas, but both players are ready to return to full training after taking part in a session on Tuesday at Carrington, according to Goal.com.

United entertain Sunderland in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final this evening.
