Patrice Evra insists that Manchester United will not focus on Manchester City in the title race.

Patrice Evra has said that Manchester United will concentrate on themselves rather than concerning themselves with how Manchester City are performing.

The French international recognises their local rivals as the team to beat in the title race but insists that United will remain focused on their own results.

The Red Devils are currently trailing City by three points in the league, with both sides seen as the favourites to lift the title.

"We have to stop talking about their games all the time and keep talking about Manchester United," said United's vice-captain.

"It doesn't matter if City win, lose or draw. After getting one match out of the way, we just have to rest and be focussed on Arsenal next Sunday.

"For us it is about United. We have to be focused on what we do and how we play and I think we are going to win the league."

Evra joined Manchester United from Monaco in 2006 for £5m.
