Patrice Evra: "We always want to win"

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra claims that his team are still eager to win their last three matches.

Patrice Evra has insisted that the Manchester United squad are eager to win their remaining Premier League fixtures, despite the fact that they have already won the title.

The team's performance during the opening 30 minutes of yesterday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal was criticised by a number of pundits, with some questioning their hunger to win following their recent success.

However, French full-back Evra has dismissed those claims and has instead stated that it is "important" for the club to emerge victorious from all of their matches.

"A lot of people expected to see Manchester United not playing well because we have already won the title," Evra told MUTV. "That is not the mentality of Manchester United. We want to win every game.

"Even pre-season friendlies are important. If we lost at Arsenal, people would not say we lost because we have already won the league. They would just talk about us losing.

"It is important for us to win. It was a big game for us and people might laugh when I say that, but that is the Manchester United culture. We always want to win, even if we have already won the title."

United have three games left to play against Chelsea, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion.
