Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has said that he is enjoying his regular run in the side.
Sir Alex Ferguson has rotated his goalkeepers at times over the past 12 months, and United have even been linked with a signing a new number one, but De Gea says that he has always considered himself the first choice, even when he was out of the side.
"For a goalkeeper it's always important to have consistency and to be playing regularly, it's good for confidence and morale," he told United's official website.
"I'm happy with my current form and I just need to keep working hard in training and hope that form continues.
"From the moment I signed I considered myself the first-choice keeper at the club but it's down to the manager - he rotates us when he feels it's good for the team."
De Gea is likely to be between the sticks when United face Liverpool this afternoon.
