Ronald de Boer compares Memphis Depay to Cristiano Ronaldo

Former Netherlands international Ronald de Boer has claimed that PSV Eindhoven's attacking midfielder Memphis Depay reminds him of a young Cristiano Ronaldo.

Manchester United are reported to be leading the race to secure the 21-year-old's services in the summer, and De Boer believes that the Dutchman could make a big impact at his next club.

"He is one of the biggest talents in Europe," the former Barcelona and Ajax midfielder told talkSPORT.

"He has skill compared to a young Cristiano Ronaldo. He Is very lively, technically unbelievable, very skilful, very fast, he has a great goalscoring record, he can shoot from every distance - he has everything.

"For me, he is without doubt one of the best talents we have."

Depay has scored 26 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions this season.
