Daley Blind backs Manchester United teammate Memphis Depay to hit form

Daley Blind insists that Manchester United teammate Memphis Depay will score in the Premier League sooner rather than later.

Daley Blind has claimed that it is only a matter of time before Manchester United teammate Memphis Depay finds the net.

Depay has failed to score during his first two Premier League games for United after joining the club for around £25m from PSV Eindhoven earlier this summer.

The 21-year-old missed a clear-cut chance last night as the Red Devils beat Aston Villa 1-0, but Blind is confident that Depay will soon be among the goals.

"I think it's a matter of time for Memphis. You've seen how much quality he has and how strong he is," he told MUTV. "We can see some nice things from him. He's just got to keep going, he tries very hard and the goals will come for sure."

Manchester United return to action on Tuesday when they host Belgian side Club Brugge for the first leg of their Champions League qualifier.
