Mehdi Benatia flying to England for Manchester United talks?

Roma defender Mehdi Benatia is reportedly flying to England ahead of talks with Manchester United over a potential move to the club this summer.

The 27-year-old has been heavily linked with the Red Devils, and a deal is thought to be close to being finalised.

Sky Sports News claims that talks between Benatia and United are still ongoing, with manager Louis van Gaal said to be keen to add to his defensive options following yesterday's 2-1 defeat against Swansea City.

Benatia, who was born in France but plies his trade for Morocco at international level, joined Roma from Udinese last year.
