David Beckham: 'Anthony Martial is living up to £36m price tag at Man United'

Beckham: 'Martial living up to price tag'

David Beckham has claimed that Manchester United new boy Anthony Martial is paying back the £36m paid for him by the Premier League giants.

The 19-year-old, who moved to Old Trafford from Monaco on transfer deadline day, has scored four goals in as many games in all competitions.

"It is a great start for him," Beckham told Sky Sports News. "He is 19 years old and the price tag that he came into Manchester United with, he is living up to it at the moment.

"I hope he continues [his form] as I am a Manchester United fan so I want to see him score more goals and become more successful. These are the type of players Manchester United are all about as one of the biggest clubs in the world."

Martial is expected to play in Saturday's match against Sunderland at Old Trafford.
