A frustrating summer transfer window has now closed with Manchester United having missed out on a number of their top targets, including Jadon Sancho.
The Red Devils were busy on deadline day, though, bringing in Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri, in addition to agreeing a deal to sign Amad Traore in January. Attention will now switch to other business they may do when the window reopens in the winter.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.
Tuesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'interested in Inter Milan's Christian Eriksen'
Manchester United are reportedly hopeful of striking a deal for Inter Milan playmaker Christian Eriksen.
The former Tottenham Hotspur man has struggled to make his mark at San Siro since arriving in January, with Eriksen starting just four Serie A games for Antonio Conte's side this term.
The Denmark international has since been heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League, most notably with Spurs' arch rivals Arsenal in a deal which would see Granit Xhaka head in the other direction.
According to The Sun, Man United are also keen to help Eriksen end his torrid time with the Nerazzurri, and the Red Devils are eyeing a move for the 28-year-old as they aim to land another attacking midfielder.
The report claims that Inter are willing to entertain offers for Eriksen, but they are only prepared to sanction an immediate sale for an approximate figure of £27m, with the midfielder contracted to the Italian giants until 2024.
Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be monitoring the situation closely.
Manchester United 'cool interest in Dayot Upamecano'
Manchester United may reportedly opt against making an approach for RB Leipzig defender Dayot Upamecano.
The Premier League giants are one of a number of high-profile European clubs who have been monitoring the development of the centre-back in recent seasons.
Despite having recently penned a new contract with Leipzig, the 22-year-old will be available for £38m in the summer due to a release clause inserted in his new deal.
However, according to The Athletic, United are no longer regarded as one of the favourites to sign the France international.
At a time when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's interest is said to have cooled, the report suggests that Bayern Munich are the new frontrunners for the player.
The European champions are eager to find replacements for David Alaba and Jerome Boateng, who are both expected to leave the Allianz Arena in 2021.
