Manchester United's Alexander Buttner: 'I played well against Liverpool'

Manchester United left-back Alexander Buttner believes that he put in a good performance for manager David Moyes in last night's Capital One Cup tie against Liverpool.

The Premier League champions managed to see out a 1-0 win at Old Trafford with a largely changed side from the starting XI that fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday.

"It's good for me to play these games," Buttner told the club's official website. "It's a good level and I can see where I'm at. It was a good game and I felt I did well."

The North-West outfit will face fellow league side Norwich City in the next round.
