Manchester United were allegedly missing seven first-team players through injury for Wednesday morning's training session at Carrington.

Manchester United were allegedly missing seven first-team players through injury for Wednesday morning's training session at Carrington, with the team preparing for Sunday's Premier League clash against Bournemouth.

The Red Devils suffered a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out, with the result leaving them in 14th spot in the Premier League table, boasting only 38 points from 33 matches this season.

Man United will head to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon before switching their attention back to the Europa League, facing a trip to Athletic Bilbao for the first leg of their semi-final on May 1.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the 20-time English champions had seven players missing during Wednesday's training session, including Lisandro Martinez and Joshua Zirkzee, with the pair both out for the season.

Meanwhile, Ayden Heaven, Matthijs de Ligt, Toby Collyer, Amad Diallo and Altay Bayindir were also allegedly missing from the session.

Seven players are currently injured for Man United

Amad is making excellent progress in his recovery from an ankle injury which had threatened to end his season, and it is understood that he will be back towards the start of May, which would be a major boost for the 20-time English champions.

Heaven was dealt a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury and has missed Man United's last two matches, while De Ligt has been absent from the team's last five games due to a foot problem.

De Ligt is expected to return before the end of the campaign, while Collyer is dealing with a recent muscular problem, with the midfielder expected to be on the sidelines for at least the next three weeks.

Bayindir, meanwhile, suffered an issue in training last week, and it remains to be seen whether the Turkey international returns to training ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash with Bournemouth.

Tyler Fredricson made a huge impression for Man United against Wolves, with the centre-back been handed his senior debut, and the Englishman is also expected to be a part of the matchday squad against Bournemouth.

Academy midfielder Zach Baumann and Dan Gore, who joined Rotherham United on loan in January, were also a part of the group, with the latter recovering from the foot injury which he suffered during a training session with the League One club.

Head coach Ruben Amorim is again expected to use youngsters against Bournemouth this weekend, with Chido Obi and Harry Amass set to earn minutes, while highly-rated defender Godwill Kukonki may also be involved.
